Shane Tyler Greaves

The Performer.

Shane Tyler Greaves has danced since his early years in life, coming from a family which has a history in the arts was indeed a blessing that provided Shane with a love for the music industry at a young age.

Shane's professional career has led him to all areas within the industry. His own dancing and choreography credits include performing and choreographing for a long list of high profile celebrity singers and bands - both Australian and international as well as many film and television appearances including "Good Morning Australia," "Channel V," "Fox Sports," "Sunrise," "The History Channel" and 'The Today Show' among many others.

Shane also choreographed many major TV awards ceremonies, various network specials, cabaret shows, music videos, celebrity tours, televised award ceremonies, pantomimes, leading fashion parades and various special events for both TV and stage.

While Shane continued to choreograph many of the countries highest selling recording artists, he also maintained a strong presence within the international arena. The constant demand for Shane's spectacular touring productions from many of the world's most prestigious venues have provided a steady channel of work for many Australian dancers and performers over the past 8 years.

Shane is a highly talented choreographer and a truly spectacular performer, his creative flair and appeal have made him a most in-demand performer and choreographer.

The Chief.

After 4 years of constant touring as a well respected and hugely in-demand dancer and choreographer, Shane Tyler Greaves wanted more. In mid 2000, Shane decided to focus some attention on the management and promotion of artists and performers and after turning to his early business background "Stage Addiction" was born.

This venture was initially planned only as a production and choreography company but as Shane's vision grew so did the long list of high profile artists wanting to work him. It wasn't long before Shane continued to expand his vision and developed several new divisions within the business.

As well as Artist Management, Shane announced that he would be incorporating 3 new divisions; a national booking agency department which was implemented to cater for venues and special events across the world as well as a dedicated PR department to keep his clients high in the public eye and a unique NFP division to cater specifically to the special needs of nonprofit organisations across the country.

While Shane's love for all things dance is undeniable, his unique insight into performance, production, management and the entertainment industry in general allows him to provide invaluable advise and guidance to artist's whilst retaining the primary management goals.

Shane still firmly believes that the pen is mightier than the sword and somehow finds time to write regular entertainment features for "XL world wide magazine" as well as writing various features and interviews for many of the nations top selling publications.

Extract from March 09 interview with Shane

on his experiences in the ever evolving entertainment industry."in an industry as tough as ours (entertainment) i feel very lucky and honured to be able to work with a multitude of truly amazing talent Australia has alot of talent to offer the international market and its inspiring to see more of our acts each year making a major impact overseas.........................

When asked what he loves most about the industry. One concept i find truly amazing about the entertainment industry (and i would bet my last piece of glitter or foldback speaker on this) is that out of everyone in the industry; from the back stage team and coordinators at a gig, to the secretary at a record label, to the artists, agents, managers, make up artist or dancers im sure that an incredible percentage of them would have someday, at some point, dreamed of being exactly where they are and doing exactly what they are doing! This is an industry that most get into because of an inate passion - its not a job that you would pursue for a quick buck! I think that concept is really cool - its great to be doing a job you loved and always knew you were meant to do....................................

On the "darker" side of the industry: Ive got to say that the stereotypical dramatic artist or performer types are so few and far between that its really rarely seen. I think these days, as more colaborations between artists, venues, mangements and agents are happpening, the industry as a whole is getting somewhat closer which i think is a great thing for any industry and will no doubt only open up more opportunites for everyone. I guess im a tad spoiled, I feel blessed to work with such an awesome group of creative and genuine people, im very lucky..........So, yes, i do love the industry- despite the deadline dramas, last minute choreography changes, utterly crazy schedles and the joy of living most of the last decade in an airport I couldnt think of anywhere id rather be!"
